Repositioning the force for the challenges of effective policing in the 21st century.
Dr. Charles Omole a renowned global security consultant and Security Sector Reform expert gave presentations during the conference and retreat for senior police officers with the theme of the conference tagged: Repositioning the force for the challenges of effective policing in the 21st century.
The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu NPM, MNI; who on behalf of the force welcome the senior officers; also charge them to take the retreat seriously as it will form the basis for the reform process the Police aims to carry out so as to reposition it to meet the ever-changing dynamics of the 21st century. Seated in attendance were Senior officers, DIGs, AIGs, Commissioners of police from all the 36 states of the federation and Abuja.
Dr. Omole is confident that there is light at the end of the tunnel having had close interactions and discussions with the IGP. He held the view that the current IGP is a man with great intellect ready to make the NPF an institution Nigerians will be proud to call their own.
