The USA deny visa to people from all over the world for various reasons. Some due to suspected human rights abuse in their own country, others as a result of alleged corruption. It is the prerogative of the US to use its Visa as a tool for diplomatic pressure & deterrence.
Denial of visa is not a criminal offence. A Nigerian president will be able to visit the UN in New York regardless.I am sure if Atiku wins, the US will sing a new song quickly. So let us not major on minor. Diplomacy is about Interests not morality.Let’s focus on domestic agenda.
We have enough challenges and catastrophic time bomb on our hands as a people. We need a leader that sees the urgency of the situation and have capacity to act swiftly to avoid Nigeria becoming a failed state. Our Education is a case in point. See attached
